Traveling by Coach on your vacation?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Economy airplane seat width is usually 17 or 18 inches. (Have you measured your bottom lately?) Here are a few tips for relieving the stress of travel:

My students know how to “Tense and Release” – which means you start at your toes and work up throughout your body – tighten/squeeze then release; nobody need know what you are doing – so when you have to get up for the loo – you won’t be all knotted up – because you will have given your body an ample blood supply to all your major muscles. While waiting to get into the lavatory, you can line your back up against the wall so that your heels, butt, shoulders and back of head are touching the wall – that’s straight – hold that for 8 to 10 abdominal breaths.

Get up from your seat and walk around the cabin as much as possible, so that you will be flexible.

Attend one of my Yoga classes and learn more!

ARE YOU AFFECTED BY THE FULL MOON? Like grow extra hair and feel weird?

Even if your family did not come from Transylvania, some people can experience the “pull of the moon”; workers in ob/gyn say more babies are born during the full moon.

Come join us for discussions on this phenomenon and experience group meditation: 6 pm-8 pm.

All Free – Refreshments served.

Suffer from DEPRESSION? There’s a Yoga Pose for you, with a fancy name:
Paschimottanasana - English translation: Seated Forward Bend – better than Prozac!

Here’s what you do: Sit on your mat with legs outstretched. Stretch arms overhead, lengthen the spine, inhale deeply, reach arms forward and down onto your legs according to your flexibility. Hold the pose, continue to breathe deeply, and with each exhale come closer to your legs. After 8 to 10 breaths extend arms forward, inhale up to sitting position.

Let me know if this helps you. 631-234-4747

I look forward to seeing you in class – and pass the word – YOGA IS GOOD FOR EVERYBODY!

YOU ARE NEVER TOO YOUNG OR TOO OLD TO LEARN YOGA!

WISHING YOU GOOD HEALTH – GOOD TIMES – GOOD FRIENDS!

Sincerely,
Grace - Durga
