YOGA IN ISLANDIA

An ounce of prevention
is worth a pound of cure

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

Dear Yoga Students and Aspirants:

Winter is soon upon us, and a time for reflection and enclosure within our homes and hearts. Have you accomplished all you set out to do at the beginning of the year?

The beauty part is that we can always renew and rededicate ourselves as long as our intention is pure. If the pace of daily events interferes with your long-range goals, take a breather with Yoga. Daily practice of Yoga allows you the space and calm so that everything falls into place. Following is my schedule of Yoga offerings -- try to include some classes into your routine and see what a difference it makes --

MONDAY NIGHTS - Up until December 1st, which is the last class of the Hauppauge Adult Ed Fall/Winter Session: 6:00 to 7:30 for Beginners; 7:30 to 9:00 for Intermediate & Advanced Students. Held at the Middle School.
Monday Night Classes will resume in my Islandia home studio starting in January -- If interested in registering, call me at 631-348-7199 or email: grac...@gracewelch.com.

In Islandia Home Studio:

Private instruction by appointment.

MEDITATION - SATURDAY - NOV. 22nd - 8:00 to 10:PM - Free - Refreshments

Cheryl Amand, one of my long-time students, who is a follower of Anandi Ma, will lead us in meditation using a series of Sanskrit chants and mantras, "The Mantrochar," which stimulates the kundalini, increases our capacity for meditation, enhancing the evolutionary process. Meditating with a group of like-minded individuals, sharing the path to the common goal, brings us closer to the fruits of our practice.

SUNDAY - DECEMBER 7th - 8 TO 10 PM - Free - Refreshments

TAOISM: One of the principal religions of China founded by Lao-tse about 500 BC. Udaya, one of my Yoga students, will give us a talk on this philosophy, which will include readings. Discussion.

If interested in attending these meditations, please rsvp 631-348-7199, or email.
